"The Connoisseur"

It started out as a hobby and a way to cut costs as i was going through my routine 6 yrs ago.  I found a Broker and started buying lbs. of "Green Coffee Beans" and purchased a roaster. I've learned that roasting coffee is an art and has to be roasted to perfection and it depends on where in the world it comes from. Buying and roasting coffee is a true passion. I am looking forward to bringing Roasted Grounds to a level that people see our brand as exceptional.

# 1 Fan!

Coffee has always been a part of my life. I remember as little kids my brother and I would watch my mom's demitasse coffee pot over flow on the stove and this little drop of coffee would fall onto the burner which we called "the pancake." Weird? I know- I am fully aware. I don't know why, maybe because all the "grown ups" drank coffee- but I started drinking it very young. It soon turned into an addiction.

Although coffee has always been intertwined with my daily routine, I never quite understood (or payed attention to) the quality of the coffee I drank. it wasn't  until Kevin started roasting his own beans at home, that I started to notice the difference between gourmet coffee beans and overly roasted beans that you find at  some of the big franchises.
I am so proud and excited to be part of this endeavor, and to be a part of a company that prides itself in customer service, knowledge and quality coffee.

It's all in the Roast...

Roasting coffee beans properly is a process that can make or break the taste of the bean. Understanding the roasting process is very key to producing great quality coffee. To introduce someone who understands this process completely is our "Roasting Specialist" Boomeranian R. Gardner. Boomeranian is passionate about the launch the of the official Roasted Grounds Coffee Company blog, so to start here is a little bio about one very important member of our team...

Boomeranian (Boomer) is a four year old Pomeranian (hence his full name). He started roasting at a very young age and learned all of his techniques from his daddy. On his days off he enjoys leisurely naps in his favorite corner on the couch cuddled up with Mr. Seal (his baby- and he would kill me if he knew I told you guys that), he also loves boat rides, popcorn, and a fine Pinot Noir. He also  LOVES road trips to his grandparents house where he gets spoiled with treats and other goodies...

He decided to go into the family business because he saw how passionate his parents were about coffee.  He perfected his roasting skills to become the Roasted Grounds Coffee Co. "roasting specialist." I can assure you, that if you ever need help trying to pick out the best roast that you think you will enjoy the most- just shoot Boomer an e-mail- and he will get back to you promptly with a customized roast menu just for you!
